Frequently Asked Questions

What wrecks can I dive around Vis Island?
Nautica Vis accesses seven wrecks: the Teti (72m Italian steamship at 8-35m, suitable for all levels), Vassilios (104m Greek cargo ship at 22-55m, medium difficulty), B-24 Liberator (WWII bomber, partially recreational), B-17 Flying Fortress (tech only), Ursus (WWII tugboat, tech only), Fortunal (fishing boat), and Brioni (cargo ship).
Do I need technical diving certification to dive the wrecks on Vis?
Not all of them. The Teti is rated easy and accessible from 8m depth. The Vassilios is a medium-difficulty dive starting at 22m. The B-24 is partially accessible to recreational divers. However, the B-17, Ursus, and deeper sections of the Vassilios require technical certification.
