About
Diving Angel Tenerife runs from Los Gigantes marina as a husband-and-wife operation: Aurel, an FFESSM and SSI instructor, and Laeti, with their daughter Emmie growing up around the business and instructor Vicky, who grew up diving on the island herself, rounding out the team. The centre opened in August 2020, delayed from an original spring date by the pandemic, and keeps its diving deliberately small, guiding groups of four divers at most. Two trip formats structure the day: a relaxed "Zen" format with separate 9am and 2pm departures, or an "Addict" format that runs back-to-back dives from 8:30am for divers who want more time underwater. The dive boat, Caesar Lopez, is a 10.5-metre rigid hull with a 250-horsepower engine and room for twelve; a second vehicle, a van nicknamed The Tiki, carries divers out to wreck sites on the island's east coast. Certified divers can progress through SSI's Scuba Diver and Advanced Adventurer levels or the French FFESSM/CMAS ladder, from Niveau 1 through the autonomous, 60-metre-capable Niveau 3, and the centre partners with PADI, FEDAS, FEDECAS and ACUC for divers arriving with other certifications. First-timers get a Discover Scuba try dive from age ten, with a filmed souvenir video available as an upgrade.
What Divers Say
Diving Angel's review volume is the largest of any dive centre researched in this part of Tenerife: 943 Google reviews at a flat 5.0, plus another 202 on TripAdvisor at the same score. Feedback sampled from mid-2025 through July 2026 is near-uniformly enthusiastic, and the recurring theme is the family atmosphere itself, divers describing a trust and warmth in how Aurel, Laeti and the team run each trip that goes beyond just competent instruction. That kind of consistency is hard to manufacture at this scale, and it lines up closely with how the team frames itself: a family business first, everything else second.
