Sand tiger shark
Odontaspis ferox(5 photos)A large, intimidating-looking shark with ragged teeth that protrude even when its mouth is closed. Despite the fierce appearance, it is slow-moving and generally docile around divers.
Usually encountered near caves, overhangs, or deep walls — often resting motionless near the bottom.
