Teide Divers

Teide Divers is a family-run SSI Divecentre and PADI 5 Star Dive Resort at Puerto de la Cruz marina, on Tenerife's north coast, led by owner Nicole Pulfer. Where most north-coast operators run boat trips, this centre works almost entirely from shore. Divers meet at the shop at 8:00am, then take a short drive to reach a north-coast site for two or three dives in a day rather than boarding a boat. A Half-Day trip runs two shore dives and returns by mid-afternoon; a Full-Day adds a third and runs into the evening; night dives meet before sunset. The SSI Specialty Wreck course does its practice dives on a sunken ship at Tabaiba, one of the north coast's regular wreck sites. Course options span the full SSI ladder from Open Water through Dive Guide and Divemaster, with specialties covering everything from search and recovery to shark ecology. Pick-up is offered for divers staying in the Puerto de la Cruz area. The centre keeps its online presence light and puts the effort into the water instead, and what carries its reputation is the diving itself and a small guide team, including instructor Artur, whom reviewers name again and again.
