About

Blue Bottom Diving has operated from the Puerto Colón marina in Costa Adeje long enough to have picked up an SSI/PADI innovation and quality award back in 2010, at the time recognised as one of the Canary Islands' most innovative dive centres. That longevity shows in the practical set-up: a purpose-built aluminium dive boat kept within 15 minutes of over 20 named sites, more than 25 full equipment sets running from XXS to XXL including children's sizes, and a 200-square-metre base with a sea-view terrace, its own technical service bench, and hot-water changing rooms. Daily diving is kept to a deliberately steady two-dive pace, with a third dive or a night dive added on request rather than pushed as standard, which reads as a more conservative rhythm than some of the marina's other operators. Certification runs the full ladder as both a PADI Dive Centre and an SSI Instructor Training Center, and free underwater photos come bundled with an Open Water certification rather than sold as an extra.

What Divers Say

Review volume here is the highest among comparable south-west Tenerife centres, with a steady 4.8 to 4.9 out of 5 across two platforms rather than a recent spike, suggesting a reputation built over years. Recent feedback repeatedly credits the instructing team by first name for relaxed, well-paced guided dives and patient handling of beginner groups, including teenagers on their first try. One earlier account, from a first-time snorkeller on a group trip, described feeling under-supervised and advised newcomers to confirm one-to-one attention in advance. Set against the volume of consistently positive reviews since, it reads as an isolated incident rather than a pattern, but it is a fair thing to ask about if snorkelling supervision matters to you.
