Buceo La Galera

Follow the signs for the sailing school and the door is right there: Buceo La Galera sits inside the Club Náutico de Moraira, sharing the marina with the Escuela de Vela rather than occupying a standalone shopfront. The centre has run as a PADI Dive Center since January 2009, additionally homologated by the Valencian Community. Its own messaging positions the operation on conditions-first safety and value: staff check sea state before every trip and go out only when conditions suit diving, with the boat running year-round on the strength of Moraira's stable water temperatures.

Courses cover the standard PADI progression, a first baptism dive through Divemaster, alongside specialty tracks in Nitrox, Deep Diving to 40 metres, Dry Suit, Buoyancy, Team Specialist, Technical Diving, and Cave Diving. Snorkelling trips are pitched at families rather than certified divers only, and a rental counter covers full kits as well as individual pieces.

The dive list runs long for a single Moraira base: more than 30 named points reaching south from Benidorm past Altea toward Jávea, among them the freshwater passages of the Moraig cave and the Arcos formation off Calpe. English, Spanish, French, and German are all spoken at the centre, with French corroborated directly by recent visitors.

Two write-ups from November 2025 single out the same name: Natalia, credited by French-speaking visitors for a safe, welcoming introduction to diving, including a first-time baptism dive handled with care. Reviewers describe feeling comfortable enough to try either a supervised baptism or an exploration dive from the boat. That pool of feedback is still small, so it reads as an encouraging early signal rather than a settled reputation. A much larger body of reviews points the same direction, landing solidly positive and reinforcing the same theme: a reassuring, safety-first welcome for divers starting out.
