Scuba Moraira

"Est. 1997" sits directly on the centre's own logo, making Scuba Moraira one of the longest-running dive operators on this stretch of the Costa Blanca. It holds SSI Instructor Training Center status, and an Extended Range Center badge on the homepage points to a serious technical side: trimix fills, rebreather instruction, and technical diver certification training sit alongside the standard recreational course path.

Boat trips fan out across four zones. On the Moraira doorstep are steep walls and old rockfall, Cap d'Or among them, plus the freshwater passages of the Moraig cave close by. Toward Javea, the boat reaches underwater towers and a scatter of small islands. The run south toward Calpe ends beneath the cliffs of the Peñón de Ifac. A fully stocked dive shop with its own online store rounds out the base, and a minibus ferries divers from the shop to the boat at Moraira Marina. Divers describe the day-to-day feel as hands-on and small in scale, with staff who size gear for larger divers on request.

Reviews from the past two years are consistently positive, repeatedly crediting the same handful of guides by name for a calm, safety-first approach and well-maintained gear. One guide, Alfonso, comes up most often, described as steady and reassuring underwater. Two other regulars, Rob and Lies, along with Emilie, draw their own praise for a warm welcome and properly fitted equipment, something divers with larger builds note specifically. One diver calls it among the strongest SSI centres they've used in Spain. A single 2024 complaint describes trouble getting a reply about a snorkelling booking. It stands alone against a much larger run of positive accounts and reads as a communication gap rather than anything to do with the diving itself.
