Enter from the beach and the bottom drops gently through sand mixed with rock and breakwater structure, settling most guided sessions into a 5 to 12 metre working range. Rays and octopus turn up often enough along the reef edge to keep a first dive interesting, and moray eels sit in the rockier sections. It's a straightforward profile: follow the slope out, follow it back, nothing technical to navigate.

This isn't a site chasing a signature creature or a dramatic wall. At least six independent dive centres run their beginner courses and try-dives here, which tells you what the site is actually for: a dependable, low-stress entry point rather than a bucket-list dive. That's a real and useful role on a coast full of more demanding boat sites.

Expect a busy public beach rather than a quiet dive site, with sunbeds, showers and marina traffic close by. Standard gear, including a surface marker buoy, is required by law, not just good practice.
