About

Aqua-Marina has run from Playa de las Américas since 1999 under the Scuba-Point group, and its own site describes 17 named dive spots in enough individual detail to double as a small guide to the area. Boat dives go out up to three times a day, 363 days a year, from a 7.5m RIB moored a short minibus ride away at Los Cristianos harbour, covering a closer cluster of sites around Palm Mar and Costa Adeje: the wall and cave at Palm Mar, the wrecks at El Meridian and El Condesito, Roncadores del Faro, and the reef below Montaña Amarilla. Shore dives run as a genuinely separate programme, reaching further along the coast by car to El Balito, the Tabaiba wreck, Brain Cave, El Poris, and Las Eras, with no price difference charged between the two access styles. The full PADI course ladder runs through Divemaster and Instructor level, backed by a TecRec technical track for divers wanting overhead or extended-range training. A refresher programme, based at Las Vistas beach in Los Cristianos, helps returning divers ease back in before a full trip.

What Divers Say

Reviewers name specific instructors by first name, most often alongside stories of getting through seasickness or a rocky first Open Water session with patience rather than pressure. Marine life comes up often and specifically: dolphins, turtles, angel sharks, rays, and octopus all get individual mentions rather than a generic "lots of fish." TripAdvisor shows 919 reviews at a 4.9 average, with new write-ups still landing through mid-2026, a pattern of sustained volume rather than a one-off spike. A Travellers' Choice badge for 2024 adds a second, independent signal on top of the raw review numbers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Aqua-Marina dive by boat or from shore?
Both, run as two separate programmes. Boat dives head to a closer cluster of sites near Palm Mar and Costa Adeje; shore dives reach further afield by car, up to about 45 minutes, to spots like El Poris and Las Eras.
How often does Aqua-Marina run boat dives?
Up to three times a day, 363 days a year, from a 7.5m RIB moored at Los Cristianos harbour, a short minibus transfer from the dive centre.
Is a boat dive more expensive than a shore dive?
No. The centre applies no price difference between the two, so the choice comes down to which sites and access style suit the diver.
How long has Aqua-Marina been operating in Tenerife?
Since 1999, based continuously in Playa de las Américas under the Scuba-Point group.
Does Aqua-Marina offer refresher dives for rusty divers?
Yes, run as a dedicated programme based at Las Vistas beach in Los Cristianos, aimed specifically at divers getting back into the water after time away.
What dive sites does Aqua-Marina visit?
The boat programme covers Palm Mar Wall and Cave, El Meridian, El Condesito, Roncadores del Faro, and the site below Montaña Amarilla; the shore programme reaches El Balito, the Tabaiba wreck, Brain Cave, El Poris, and Las Eras.
Does Aqua-Marina offer technical diving?
Yes, through the PADI TecRec/DSAT programme, alongside the standard recreational course ladder through Divemaster and Instructor.
