Adventure Divers

Two physical bases, shared staff, one operation. At the port of Cabo de Palos, the center trades as Divers Cabo de Palos and occupies a 140 m2 purpose-built facility: separate male and female changing rooms with three showers each, a freshwater rinse area, an audiovisual classroom, and a retail shop. Boats leave from here for the Islas Hormigas Marine Reserve, covering the bajos that rise to 3 metres, the wrecks at depth, and shore dives below the lighthouse at Escalerita.

The La Manga Club base serves a different audience. Resort guests at Atamaria book introductory dives, snorkeling safaris in sheltered coves, and a full watersports programme. Jet skiing, kayaking, paddleboarding, sailing, and catamaran excursions are available alongside the diving. Transport to dive and snorkel sites is included from the resort.

The center has operated for roughly 25 years and holds both PADI and SSI affiliations. English and Spanish instruction runs across both bases. The SSI course list exceeds 20 specialty programs, from Perfect Buoyancy to Marine Ecology to Wreck Diving. Staff stability is a recurring observation in reviews. Laura, Neil, Isabel, and Raul appear by name across reviews spanning 2018 to 2026.

Personal attention is the dominant pattern. Divers describe small groups, calm pre-dive briefings for anxious first-timers, and staff who remember returning visitors. A 2021 review mentions a guide pointing out grouper and barracuda in the marine reserve. An April 2026 review from a first-time diver describes instructors who were "very vigilant at all times, transmitting a lot of confidence, security and calm."

Families are the second consistent thread. Multi-generational groups appear repeatedly in the La Manga reviews: adults diving while grandparents or non-diving partners join the snorkeling safari. One Spanish-language review from 2018 uses the phrase "bucear en casa" to describe returning to dive with the same team. Repeat visits are not an edge case in the review record. They are the pattern.
