About Dive & Fun Mallorca

The northeast Mallorca coastline around Font de Sa Cala sits alongside the Reserva Marina de Llevant, declared in 2007, which has increased marine life density along this stretch of shore. Dive & Fun Mallorca operates three kilometres south of Cala Ratjada, drawing primarily from the German-speaking market while running instruction in Spanish, English, and French.

Four training systems run side by side: IAC (International Aquanautic Club), a partner since 2006, alongside PADI, SSI, and CMAS. The curriculum covers everything from Discover Scuba Diving for eight-year-olds to instructor-level qualifications in all four agencies. Specialty courses are wide-ranging: cavern, nitrox, photography, scooter diving, fish ID, and more. Technical diving is available on consultation.

Two ten-person dive boats handle the main programme. The centre also runs the DEMASIADO, a 600HP speedboat used for sightseeing tours and private events. The Pirate's Cave dry-caving excursion gives non-diving companions a real activity rather than a wait. Shore entry at Big Bay, the house reef in front of the centre, supplements the boat schedule. Free transfers run to Cala Ratjada, Cala Mesquida, and Canyamel.

What Divers Say

A recurring theme in recent diver accounts is an improved atmosphere: guests describe a multilingual and engaged team, well-organised departures, and groups small enough for a personal experience. Instructors are mentioned by name for patience and clear briefings, which is noted as reassuring for less experienced participants. The Pirate's Cave excursion draws specific mention from guests travelling with non-divers. Reviews span a wider range of impressions, with 2025-2026 accounts consistently the most positive.

Frequently Asked Questions

What certification agencies does Dive & Fun Mallorca train through?
The centre trains through four systems: IAC (International Aquanautic Club, a partner since 2006), PADI, SSI, and CMAS. Courses run from Discover Scuba Diving for eight-year-olds through to instructor-level qualifications in all four. If you already hold a cert from one system, the team can advise on the best cross-agency path.
Is Dive & Fun Mallorca open year-round?
Yes, Monday to Friday, 09:00-18:00, all year. That makes it one of the few NE Mallorca centres still operating outside the April-October tourist season.
How do transfers work?
Free pick-up and drop-off covers hotels in Cala Ratjada, Cala Mesquida, and Canyamel. Guests from Cala Bona or Cala Millor should contact the centre directly to arrange a collection point.
Can children dive here?
Discover Scuba Diving is available from age 8. Dedicated children's courses run through three levels: IAC Junior Diver (age 8+), Basic Diver (age 10+), and Open Water Diver (age 10+). Children's rental gear is in stock.
What dive sites are accessible from Font de Sa Cala?
Boat dives cover NE Mallorca sites including Cap Freu and Sa Mula. Shore entry is also available at Big Bay, the house reef directly in front of the centre. Multi-dive packages start from 4 dives, with per-dive pricing reducing at higher volumes.
What non-diving options are available?
The Pirate's Cave tour is a dry-caving adventure through a sea cave, suitable for non-divers and families. Speedboat excursions on the DEMASIADO (600HP, up to 130 km/h) are available for coast tours and private events. Snorkeling boat trips run 1.5 hours with equipment included.
