About Zeus Dive Center

Zeus Dive Center runs from Hotel Abora Continental in Playa del Ingles, on the south coast of Gran Canaria, with a second base further along the coast in Patalavaca. The centre holds SSI Diamond status and teaches the full PADI and SSI ladder, from a first taste dive through Divemaster, alongside specialties in nitrox, night diving, wreck diving and cave diving.

A 6.5-metre RIB with a 150HP outboard runs the boat programme, carrying full emergency, first-aid, oxygen and VHF kit. On land, a 50-metre training pool sits on the premises for confined-water sessions, and junior courses bring children into diving early. Free hotel pickup and drop-off covers the south of the island, and the website runs in nine languages to match an international clientele.

Diving here spans easy shore entries for beginners to boat trips out to volcanic reef at depth for certified divers, plus snorkel-by-boat excursions departing from Puerto de Mogan. As an Aqualung equipment partner, the centre also markets its gear quality alongside the location and included transfers.

What Divers Say

Zeus draws strong reviews for the in-water experience: 4.8 out of 5 across 251 TripAdvisor reviews, and 4.5 from 370 Google reviews. Divers repeatedly praise the guides for patience with nervous first-timers and for running clear briefings across several languages. The hotel-pickup service comes up often as a convenience that removes the hassle of getting to the coast.

Not every review is glowing. A handful describe a curter experience at the shore-side office, especially around questions about extra dives or bookings. The pattern is consistent: the diving itself earns steady praise, while occasional friction shows up before divers even get in the water.
