About Binibeca Diving
Binibeca Diving is the only dive centre on Menorca to hold the Marca Menorca Reserva de la Biosfera certification — an award granted by the Consell Insular de Menorca to tourism businesses that meet the island's UNESCO biosphere reserve sustainability standards. The centre operates from Binibèquer Nou on the SE coast, with a 12-person speedboat moored at the entrance and the primary dive sites within 10 minutes by water.
The two main areas are the Isla del Aire Marine Reserve, off the SE tip, and the cave complex at Cap d'en Font — a system of interconnected passages and caverns that includes Pozo de la Luna, an overhead-environment cavern requiring advanced or cave-certified experience. Es Caragol, a reef and grotto site in the SE zone, and the Malakoff wreck at 38-40m off the west coast extend the operating range. The guided dive programme runs daily during the season. PADI courses from Open Water Diver through Divemaster are available in small groups, with an emphasis on personalised instruction.
A snorkelling excursion completes the offer: a 3-hour boat trip along the south Menorca coast with equipment and stand-up paddle board included. Online booking is available through FareHarbor on the centre's website. The centre operates seasonally from 1 May to early November.
What Divers Say
Divers consistently rate this centre highly. Two consistent themes emerge across the review base: instructors are highlighted for making families and children feel safe in the water, and a significant proportion of reviewers are returning visitors — arriving multiple times across different seasons rather than once. A June 2026 review confirms current operations. The review pattern is typical of a small seasonal operation that builds repeat business through small-group format and site expertise rather than volume. The Biosfera certification provides an additional signal for divers who factor environmental credentials into their choice of centre.
