About Buceo Canarias
Buceo Canarias has run recreational diving from the Muelle Deportivo marina in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria since 1996, training thousands of divers and logging countless dives from the same waterfront base for three decades. The centre teaches both SSI and PADI programmes, from a first try dive through to instructor level, and its shop stocks gear from Mares, Aqualung Tecnomar, and Cressisub alongside a training pool, classroom, and its own air and nitrox fill station.
Diving here splits between marina-adjacent wreck and cave routes reached by the centre's own boat, including trips to La Catedral and Roque Ceniciento off La Isleta, and van excursions to El Cabron or Sardina del Norte when conditions favour the east or north coast. Multi-dive packages bundle two, six, or ten dives, and equipment rental and nitrox fills are available on-site. Divers get free parking at the marina for the first three and a half hours, worth knowing before an early trip.
What Divers Say
Buceo Canarias holds a 4.9 out of 5 average across 294 TripAdvisor reviews, ranking first among forty boat tour and watersports operators in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Reviewers describe instructors with detailed, site-specific knowledge of where marine life hides, from seahorses and barracudas to angel sharks and rays on the same dive. Family groups mixing beginners and more experienced divers are handled together comfortably on shore dives, and returning divers mention administrative help beyond the water, including sorting out certification transfers between agencies on the spot. The centre's three decades on the same stretch of marina show up in how settled and practised the operation feels.
