About

Canary Diving Adventures has run from inside the Taurito Princess Hotel since 1998, making it the longest-established of the PADI centers on this stretch of Gran Canaria's southwest coast. Jerry leads a team with more than 30 years of combined diving experience. The full PADI range runs here, from BubbleMaker for children through Discover Scuba Diving and Instructor-level courses, alongside Deep Diving and Nitrox specialties, plus Emergency First Response training. A house reef sits right off Taurito beach at 6 to 7 metres, giving complete beginners and refresher divers an easy first dive without a boat crossing. No boat required. Two-tank boat trips reach wrecks, reefs, and caves along the southwest coast, including the Cermona II wreck and the protected waters around El Cabrón. An Easy Access equipment room and quay-side RIB boarding serve divers with disabilities, and one-to-one course formats are available for students with learning disabilities. A daily shuttle picks up divers based at other hotels around the island, and the operation regularly hosts groups and corporate events.

What Divers Say

Reviewers have long praised Jerry personally for a warm, humor-forward teaching style that puts total beginners at ease, with several remembering in-water fish-feeding as a highlight of their dives. Multiple reviews describe multi-dive stays where every day brought a different site, deep and shallow options included, tailored to the group's experience level. First-time divers repeatedly mention feeling safe and well-prepared despite never having dived before. Feedback singles out the center's readiness to accommodate last-minute changes, fitting in a refresher dive on short notice in at least one case. The visible review record is older than at comparable centers nearby, so current pricing and schedules are worth confirming directly, but Google's more recent rating points to a business that continues to operate at a similarly high standard.
