About

Walk through the shop and the beach is right there. Dive College Lanzarote has operated from this beachside spot in Playa Blanca since 2001, building a PADI 5-Star Instructor Development Center around direct water access and an on-site training pool with a viewing window for families. The house reef starts from the centre's doorstep and is open for diving all day.

Morning boat dives leave at 09:30, afternoon dives at 15:00, with 12 sites on a weekly rotation that changes daily. Museo Atlantico appears twice on the schedule plus a regular midday slot. Night dives run every Thursday. The programme covers PADI courses from Discover Scuba through Instructor Development, with freediving offered through an associated programme. Snorkeling tours and SUP sessions fill the non-diving hours.

A formal partnership with Safari Diving in Puerto del Carmen means divers can split their week between Playa Blanca and Puerto del Carmen without moving equipment between centres. The multilingual team covers six languages. Free hotel pickup runs throughout Playa Blanca.

What Divers Say

Over 600 reviews on TripAdvisor hold at 4.8, earning a Travelers' Choice award. The location is the first thing most reviewers mention. Being able to walk from the centre straight into the water, with showers and changing rooms right at the waterline, sets the daily routine apart.

Families return repeatedly. One reviewer described completing 28 dives in a week as a family of four, including a 10-year-old finishing his Junior Open Water. Groups of experienced divers praise the site variety across the weekly rotation and the willingness of staff to avoid repeating sites during a stay. Instructors Damo, Bob, and Steve surface by name across multiple reviews for patience, humour, and clear communication.
