SuperDive Tossa

SuperDive frames itself as a centre that is simultaneously new and seasoned: current premises and team, more than two decades of work behind them. In its own words it cares about four things — diving, Tossa de Mar, careful work and exhaustive training, and respect for the marine environment. Personalised attention is explicit in the pitch ("nos gusta el trato personalizado, los grupos reducidos y la enseñanza de calidad"), and that small-group framing recurs in how clients describe the experience.

PADI Course Director Chiqui Bustos runs the IDC track on site, making career-track instructor training the centre's signature professional product. Co-founder Meri Alorda is a PADI Master Instructor. The full PADI ladder runs from Discover Scuba through Divemaster on standard timing, alongside a TecRec stack including Sidemount, Trimix, Rebreather, and Gas Blender. That professional pipeline is what carries the 5 Star CDC status — the only one anywhere on the Costa Brava.

The emotional anchor is seahorse work, which produced the worldwide-unique PADI Mediterranean SeaHorse Expert specialty taught here. Conservation credentials extend to membership in Observadores del Mar, WildSea Divers, and PADI's Green Star programme, plus Generalitat de Catalunya tourism quality certification. The first is calm, patient guiding under pressure. Try-dive reviewers describe staff handling specific in-water problems mid-dive — a flooded mask, a panicked first-timer, an equalisation issue — without aborting the dive. One Dutch reviewer recounted a friend's mask coming off and the guide resolving it "very quietly and calmly" so the rest of the dive could continue.
