About Mar Balear Dive Center

Port Adriano sits between El Toro to the northeast and Dragonera island to the southwest — a marina position that puts Mar Balear Dive Center within short boat range of the Reserva Marina de les Illes del Ponent and the Dragonera nature reserve simultaneously. The center has operated from Port Adriano's leisure complex since 2011, building its programme around both reserves and extending it further with the Dique del Oeste wreck cluster in Palma harbour and the cave systems along the Andratx coast.

The center holds SSI Instructor Training Center and PADI 5-Star status, covering courses from beginner entry points — DSD from age 12, Bubblemaker from age 8, junior programmes from age 10 — through Open Water, Advanced, Rescue, and Divemaster under both agencies. The tagline "Conoce, respeta y explora el mundo submarino" puts marine education at the center of the brand identity. Night dives run on Thursdays and Fridays; scooter-assisted dives and private guide service are available on request. Mares and Aqualung equipment feature throughout. One distinctive feature of Mar Balear's approach is full published pricing across all activity types — single dives, packs, excursion formats, rentals — at marbalear.com/tarifas/.

The center is closed on Mondays and for the month of February. Staff operate in Spanish, English, German, and French.

What Divers Say

Mar Balear is consistently among the highest-rated centers in SW Mallorca's competitive Calvià zone. The combination of SSI Instructor Training Center affiliation and fully transparent pricing across every activity type is unusual in a zone where guided dive rates are often unpublished. Those familiar with the reserve describe the Port Adriano base as well-positioned for early departures to El Toro, with shorter transit times than centers further along the coast toward Palma. The YouTube channel, documenting real dives at El Toro, Malgrats, Dragonera, and the Palma wreck cluster, provides a direct preview of conditions across the program's main sites.
