About TechWise
TechWise is the technical-diving department of sister recreational brand Divewise, run as a dedicated training facility at the Westin Dragonara Resort in St Julian's and sharing its premises with Divewise's own operation. Where Divewise handles entry-level and recreational courses, TechWise's programme is built entirely around open-circuit and closed-circuit rebreather training: IANTD, TDI, PADI Tec and GUE-friendly pathways running from Discover Tec through Tec 65 Trimix, plus CCR courses from Level 1 air diluent to full Trimix at Level 3.
The technical instructor team spans three certifying agencies: two full-time PADI Instructor Trainers with four Tech Instructors, one full-time IANTD Instructor Trainer with two Tech Instructors, and two full-time TDI Instructor Trainers with two Tech Instructors. A house reef and two training pools are part of the base itself, a short walk from the Westin and Vivaldi hotels.
Guided technical dives run daily, from shore and by boat, to deep wrecks typically within about 20 minutes of St Julian's, including HMS Southwold at 70m, Le Polynesian at 60-65m and the Schnellboot S-31 at 65-70m, alongside dives at five of the island's shallower wreck sites: Um El Faroud, P29, Rozi, the Blenheim Bomber and Imperial Eagle. Course weeks are structured around named wreck themes, for example a normoxic wreck week combining several deep sites in a single trip, with each dive followed by a filmed video debrief used to improve technique before the next day out.

How deep can I dive after PADI Tec Deep training with TechWise?▾
PADI Tec Deep certification (Tec 45 and Tec 50 combined) qualifies divers to a maximum depth of 50 metres. TechWise's deeper wrecks past that point, such as HMS Southwold at 70m, call for further trimix training like Tec 65 Trimix or the higher CCR trimix levels.
