Punta de s'Oliguera

A comfortable step off the pier in Cala S'Oliguera, or a scramble down a path locals call el sendero de Luis Trenker, both put a diver into the same water on this stretch of the Cadaqués shore. From there a wall of rock and rocky formation runs down toward a reef at its base, worked as two separate profiles: the area's own eco-guided route stays inside 24 to 30 metres, while a longer version continues to about 40 metres. The same cove is also a boat launch. A boat leaves from here toward other Cap de Creus points at least once most days.

A pier that doubles as a shore entry and the daily boat launch puts this wall within reach on foot or by boat, from one small cove. Which certification is enough depends on which of the wall's two profiles you take, since the deeper version reaches a reef that calls for Deep training. Confusingly, the same pier also opens onto a wrecked-ship route at the neighbouring Es Caials cove, under a name several older sources use for both dives interchangeably.

Confirm with whoever is running your trip which profile is planned, the eco-guided line to 24-30 metres or the deeper wall near 40, since the difference decides whether Advanced Open Water is enough or Deep certification is called for. Independent diving without a centre needs prior notice to the park authority and stays within its cap, counted against the boat, not the individual diver: six dives a day, thirty a week, a hundred and twenty a year.1 The published coordinate for this point marks the official headland toponym, not a dive buoy or shore-entry fix, so the true entry could sit up to about 150 metres from this pin: use it as an approach reference, not a precise mark.
