About
Atlantic Diving Center runs from the Clube Naval do Funchal marina, on Madeira's south coast, and builds its identity around conservation rather than a single house dive site. Its own pages describe archipelago diving in general terms, caves, sunken wrecks and grouper ground, without naming one location, and its specialty programs go further: Diving with a Marine Biologist, Archaeological Diving, and dives built around marine-debris collection and house-reef cleaning. The centre also takes part in Dive Reporter, a mobile app that lets divers identify the marine species they log on a dive, and names two research partners, MARE and CEAM, alongside CLIMAREST, an EU Horizon-funded project restoring marine habitats.
Booking translates into one of three price points: a single house-reef dive, a two-dive house-reef outing, or a two-dive boat outing (100 EUR), which adds a mandatory 5 EUR marine-reserve departure fee on top.
Courses run only on the SSI ladder, from Basic Diver, capped at 12 m under supervision by an SSI professional, through Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, Advanced, Dive Master and Assistant Instructor. The team is introduced only by role, not by name: dive masters, assistant instructors, dive instructors, nitrox divers, deep divers and first responders.
Guests can pair a stay with Acquamar Residences, a two-bedroom apartment with beach access, a pool, a sun deck and a gym, and the centre serves guests in Portuguese and English. Booking runs through the centre's own online form.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where exactly is Atlantic Diving Center based?▾
Two addresses exist for the centre. Its own site gives the Naval Club marina, Rua da Quinta Calaça 32, at the Clube Naval do Funchal, which is also where its dives and courses actually run. Its SSI registration instead carries Caminho da Bica de Pau nº 21, in central Funchal, which looks like an earlier or legal registration address that was never updated. Head for the marina.
Is there an online review listing for Atlantic Diving Center?▾
No review-platform listing turns up for the Funchal centre under this name. A listing called 'Atlantic Diving Center' does exist online, but it belongs to an unrelated dive operator on São Tomé Island, off West Africa, not to the Madeira business. Community dive forums carry nothing on the Funchal centre either.
What is Atlantic Diving Center's house reef called?▾
The centre's own pages never name it, describing dives generally across the Madeira archipelago instead. Its SSI listing separately names a site, Baixa das Moreias, right by the Naval Club marina, as the centre's serviced reef, but that has not been independently confirmed.
Who owns or manages Atlantic Diving Center?▾
The team is introduced only by role, not by name: dive masters, assistant instructors, dive instructors, nitrox divers, deep divers and first responders. No owner or manager is named anywhere.
Does Atlantic Diving Center teach PADI courses?▾
Its course page and SSI listing carry no PADI course. Every course runs on the SSI ladder instead, from Basic Diver through Scuba Diver, Open Water, Advanced, Dive Master and Assistant Instructor.
