Diverty Sub

Diverty Sub is a Barcelona dive school and shop, and the diving itself happens from a second base in Lloret de Mar on the Costa Brava, at Urbanización Els Llorers, C/ Amadeu Vives s/n, reachable directly on +34 696 95 80 11. Courses are booked and taught out of the Horta premises in Barcelona, but the boat and the guided shore dives run out of Lloret, across a stretch of coast reaching from Blanes to Tossa de Mar. A diver looking to dive straight from Barcelona city needs a different operator.

The school has run since 2006 and teaches the full SSI ladder, from a first Bautizo de Buceo try dive through Open Water, Advanced, a run of specialties sold as digital learning kits, and on to Extended Range technical courses and the professional line up to Instructor Training Course. Classes are capped at six students. SSI's own directory lists Diverty Sub as an Instructor Training Center, matching the Diamond-level affiliation the school claims for itself. Out of Lloret, the centre dives named points along the Blanes-Lloret-Tossa stretch: Roca Muladera, one of the better-known Costa Brava dives, sits alongside Illa de Tossa and Na Bosca toward the Tossa side, with shallower entries such as Sa Caleta and Barra de Fenals off the beaches nearer Lloret. A structure the centre calls the Boreas, deliberately sunk in 1989 as an artificial biotope, sits within the same zone; it is a different vessel from the wreck of the same name further up the coast near Palamós. Back in Barcelona, the shop runs equipment rental and an official repair and servicing line for the major dive-gear brands, alongside a Scubapro dealership.

The two locations read as two different experiences of the same brand. At the Barcelona shop, reviewers repeatedly name Cristina for unhurried, honest gear advice and regulator and computer servicing delivered on the cost and the schedule quoted, in a shop atmosphere reviewers describe as welcoming rather than pushy. At the Lloret de Mar base, the praise centres on the diving itself: instructors named Fer, Julián, Jose, Tamara and Juanan turn up across reviews for handling nervous first-time Bautizo divers with patience, a briefing that carries through into the dive, and enough of a good experience that people book again for a second or third season. No complaint pattern turns up in either set of reviews, though the sample any one search can pull is small next to the centre's full review history.
