Itineraries (8)
The Ari-and-South central weeks run year-round from Male. The northern Hanifaru Bay manta route runs roughly May to October. In winter the boat runs one-way southern crossings between Male and Gan that take in Huvadhoo and Fuvahmulah at atoll level; those weeks reposition seasonally and are described by region rather than a fixed site list.

About
Nautilus Two is a 43-metre traditional Maldivian wooden liveaboard run by an Austrian-German operator, pitched squarely at the German-speaking market, with the site and briefings in German and English. Twelve cabins sleep 24 guests, and the boat carries a foredeck whirlpool and a large sun deck. Built in 2007 and refitted in 2022, it reads as roomy and well-equipped rather than boutique. The core product is the year-round Ari-and-South central week: classic thilas and channels paired with the Machchafushi and Fesdhoo wrecks. The seasonal calendar then adds a northern route from about May to October built around a Hanifaru Bay manta snorkel, a protected-zone excursion run as a guided snorkel with no scuba. In winter the boat runs one-way southern crossings to Gan that headline Fuvahmulah's tiger sharks. Safety is a stated selling point: Nautilus Two is one of relatively few Maldives boats carrying the ENOS diver recall-and-locate system, it enforces a minimum of around 40 logged dives, and a personal SMB is mandatory for the current-heavy channel diving. Nitrox to EAN32 is available for a surcharge. Who does it suit? Comfortable, practical safari diving with strong logistics, for divers with the current experience the central channels assume. Government green tax and national-park fees, such as the Hanifaru zone fee, are collected by the operator as government charges rather than added by any dive base.
What Divers Say
Nautilus Two reads as a roomy, well-equipped wooden safari boat aimed at the German-speaking market, with the operator emphasising a genuinely spacious hull, a foredeck whirlpool and a large sun deck. Safety comes up as a differentiator: the ENOS diver recall-and-locate system is uncommon on Maldives boats, and the 40-logged-dive minimum fits the current-heavy channel diving. The year-round Ari-and-South week is the anchor, with the seasonal northern route valued for its Hanifaru Bay manta snorkel and the winter southern crossings pitched at divers chasing Fuvahmulah's tiger sharks. Expectations skew comfortable and practical, with strong dive logistics, rather than boutique luxury.
