About
Centre d'Immersió Cap de Creus is based in Llançà, at the northern edge of the Cap de Creus Natural Park, giving its boat and shore dives the shortest run out to the park's northern points: Massa d'Or, Cala Guillosa, S'Encalladora, Cala Sardina, Cala Mulà and El Bau del Molí.
The centre describes itself as the first dive centre established in the Cap de Creus Natural Reserve, with more than 30 years in the water. The team is small and named on its own site: Tania, Franck, Mireia, Dani and Sacha.
It's SSI-affiliated and fills air only, with no Nitrox. The course ladder runs from Open Water Diver through Rescue Diver, with specialty options including Decompression Diving and mermaiding, and baptism dives run one instructor per diver.
Fun diving runs by boat or from shore, with snorkel tours also offered. The boat, Cap de Creus II, is described as a 14 x 6 m catamaran with room for up to 40 divers, plus hot and cold freshwater showers, a bar and a solarium. Equipment (regulator, wetsuit, BCD, dive computer) rents by the piece, and a dive guide can be booked for anyone without one.
What divers say
Independent reviewers converge on one specific detail as much as on general friendliness: several first-time divers single out the one-instructor-per-diver ratio on baptism dives as unusually generous, with one calling it "a luxury." Reviews from 2025 name several team members (Franck, Tania, Sasha, Dani, Roman and Mireia), a near-complete match with the five staff the centre names on its own site, evidence of a small, stable team, not a rotating cast.
One review from 2019 describes a young instructor as disrespectful and says the reviewer lost interest in returning; no other complaint of that kind turns up in the more recent reviews.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Decompression Diving specialty here involve?▾
It's an SSI specialty for divers who want to plan and safely run dives beyond no-decompression limits, extending planned depth to 40 m, well past the 18 m ceiling of the entry-level Open Water course offered here.
Does Centre d'Immersió Cap de Creus offer mermaiding?▾
Yes. Alongside its standard SSI course ladder, the centre runs a mermaiding course for anyone who wants to try swimming with a monofin tail instead of scuba gear.
Can I get Nitrox fills at Centre d'Immersió Cap de Creus?▾
No. Fills here are air only; there's no Nitrox on offer.
What are the centre's actual opening hours?▾
Published schedules disagree: one listing shows the centre closed Monday and Tuesday with mornings only the rest of the week, while another shows it open every day, with an added afternoon session six days a week. Neither is confirmed on the centre's own site, so call or message ahead if your visit depends on a specific day, especially a Monday or Tuesday.
Can I book a dive online?▾
Yes. The centre runs its own online booking system through its website.
