About

Roses Sub has operated from the fishing port of Roses for over three decades. The center sits directly in front of its catamaran, the Pepita 2.0, a 16-metre vessel that carries up to 45 divers to Cap de Creus Natural Park. Morning and afternoon departures run daily throughout the year.

The team holds PADI 5-Star status and runs the full course ladder from try dives through rescue and specialties including Nitrox, deep, buoyancy, and dry suit. Gold course packages include a dive computer. Equipment is refreshed annually, and the center stocks kids' gear for younger divers (minimum age 10).

Beyond individual bookings, Roses Sub manages group logistics: accommodation through associated hotels, equipment storage, and a boat layout designed for club-sized parties. French dive clubs are regulars. Self-sufficient experienced divers can dive without a guide; those who want one pay a 10 EUR supplement. Free parking at the port entrance keeps the pre-dive routine simple.

What Divers Say

The word that appears most in reviews is "professional." Divers praise the team's organization, from thorough briefings to efficient boat procedures. Several reviewers single out staff members Alvaro and Marti by name. One visiting instructor noted that everyone aboard knew their tasks and was ready before anchoring, calling the efficiency unlike anything on American dive boats.

The catamaran draws consistent compliments for space and comfort, even when full. First-time divers and experienced instructors alike report feeling well looked after. A small number of reviews mention wetsuit cleanliness as an area to watch. With over 1,100 combined reviews across major platforms and an average score above 4.8, the center has built one of the strongest reputations of any dive operator on the Costa Brava.
