Northern and St John's routes run year-round. The offshore Brothers, Daedalus and Elphinstone weeks and the Deep South routes run roughly March to November and depend on weather.

About

Emperor Elite is a 38-metre wooden liveaboard and the near-twin of Emperor Superior, carrying 26 guests in 13 ensuite cabins. The difference sits in two rooms. Elite adds a Junior and an Executive suite, both with picture windows and more floor space than a standard bunk cabin. The bigger draw is range. The same hull works the northern wrecks in one week and the far-southern reefs the next, so travellers choose the itinerary rather than the boat. Reefs & Wrecks and South & St John's run year-round. The offshore Brothers, Daedalus and Elphinstone weeks and the Deep South routes to Rocky Island, Zabargad and St John's run roughly March to November from Hurghada and Port Ghalib. Free nitrox to 32 percent is included, and technical divers can arrange rebreather and sidemount, with helium and sofnolime on request. Who is it for? The northern weeks suit divers building experience. The offshore plateaus and Deep South weeks assume solid current skills and around 50 logged dives. Fares are all-inclusive, with the suites carrying a supplement on top.

What Divers Say

Divers single Elite out among the sisters for its cabins. The Junior and Executive suites, with picture windows and more space, get repeated mentions as a step up from standard liveaboard bunks. The wider point guests make is range. The same hull is booked for northern wrecks, offshore Brothers-Daedalus-Elphinstone weeks and the far-southern Rocky, Zabargad and St John's reefs, so travellers pick the week rather than the boat. Crew warmth and attentive guiding recur alongside no-surprises pricing as reasons people rebook. Food is generous and well-paced around the dive day. Expectations should sit at comfortable and well-run rather than five-star. The offshore and Deep South weeks assume solid current experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Emperor Elite differ from Emperor Superior?
They are near-identical 26-guest sisters. Elite adds a Junior and an Executive suite and runs a wider range of itineraries, including the Deep South.
Can Emperor Elite reach Rocky Island and Zabargad?
Yes, on the Southern Solitude and South & St John's routes from Port Ghalib. These are advanced, current-exposed weeks.
Do the suites sell out?
There is only one Junior and one Executive suite, and both carry a supplement. Book early if you want one.
When is the best time for sharks?
The Brothers, Daedalus and Elphinstone routes and the Deep South plateaus are strongest from roughly late spring into autumn. Nothing is guaranteed.
Is this a good first liveaboard?
The northern Reefs & Wrecks and Famous Five weeks suit newer divers. The offshore and Deep South routes want around 50 dives and an Advanced qualification.
Are park and fuel fees charged on top?
No, the fare is all-inclusive and covers government park and fuel charges. Extras are gear rental and alcohol beyond the included wine.
